We are heartbroken to see the ways in which our community has been impacted by job loss, food insecurity, and other difficulties related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here at First Door, we are committed to listening to the specific needs of our neighborhood and endeavor to see those needs met. At this time, we recognize that the economic fallout of this season has only just begun and the road ahead of us is a long one.

Despite this, we are encouraged by the ways in which hardship has awakened love and sparked an outpouring of care for one another. Thank you to everyone that is doing their part to take measures against the spread of COVID-19, not just for themselves, but as an act of compassion towards others. Thank you to the essential workers, whose tireless labor has kept our city running. Thank you to all of you who have donated time, energy and resources towards our relief efforts.

In the months ahead, may we wade even deeper into kindness and generosity. We invite you to help us as we continue to support students with online school, facilitate access to resources, and distribute food to hundreds of families most impacted.
